As Camp Sequassen approaches its 100th anniversary in 2027, we celebrate a century of impact, adventure, and tradition. Fully accredited and proudly serving Scouts across Connecticut and beyond since 1927, generations have experienced the spirit of Scouting on our 600-acre property in every season. This milestone honors the past while inspiring the next century of leadership, exploration, and lifelong memories.
Sequassen 100 Council Camporee - May 14–17, 2027
Celebrate a century of adventure at the Sequassen 100 Council Camporee, May 14–17, 2027, where Scouts and alumni come together for an unforgettable weekend. Experience a once in a lifetime Time Capsule ceremony, dazzling fireworks over camp, and a Historical Hike that brings Sequassen’s legacy to life. Trade treasures at the lively Trade-O-Ree, connect with friends old and new, and enjoy countless activities across camp. This milestone event honors tradition while inspiring the future, making it the perfect gathering for all who love Sequassen and the spirit of Scouting. Join us for memories that will last for generations to come.
Staff Reunion Weekend - June 26–27, 2027
Reconnect with the spirit of camp at the Sequassen 100 Staff Reunion Weekend, June 26–27, 2027. From a meaningful lantern ceremony and monument dedication to a nostalgic campfire filled with classic songs and skits, this overnight gathering celebrates the legacy of those who made camp unforgettable. Explore program areas like waterfront, shooting sports, climbing, and zip line, hear the legendary Hermit lore, and take part in a service project. Capture memories with all-staff photos by decade, guided tours, while sharing stories, memorabilia, and patches with fellow staff from generations past.
100th Anniversary Resident Camp
100th Anniversary Extravaganza - July 24, 2027
Celebrate a century of impact at the Sequassen 100 Anniversary Extravaganza on July 24, 2027, from 12:00PM to 9:00PM. This half-day celebration features the creation of a commemorative rock inscription, and a guided historical hike through camp’s legacy. Hear remarks from local leaders, enjoy a silent auction and raffle, and watch a powerful 8–10 minute video capturing 100 years of Sequassen history. Honor excellence with the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Sequassen Alumni Association, explore select program areas, and gather for flags and a meaningful closing ceremony from the end of Week 4 of Scouts BSA Resident Camp. It’s a day to celebrate tradition, community, and the future of Sequassen.
Fall Festival and Community Day - Fall 2027
Celebrate the season at Sequassen’s Fall 2027 Festival & Community Day, a vibrant gathering that brings together local leaders, families, and friends.
