Staff Reunion Weekend - June 26–27, 2027
The Sequassen 100 Staff Reunion Weekend is a special overnight gathering taking place June 26–27, 2027, celebrating the legacy of those who have made camp unforgettable.
Attendees can look forward to a mix of historic traditions, open recreation, and fellowship:
Special Ceremonies: Participate in a meaningful lantern ceremony, a monument dedication, and a nostalgic campfire filled with classic songs and skits.
Open Program Areas: Revisit your favorite camp spots, with the waterfront, shooting sports, climbing, and zip line open for use.
Camp Lore & Service: Hear legendary Hermit lore and give back to the reservation through a group service project.
Capturing Memories: Take all-staff photos by decade, join guided tours, and share stories, memorabilia, and patches with staff from generations past.
Sequassen 100 at Resident Summer Camp
Celebrate all summer long during the 2027 Scouts BSA resident summer camp with Sequassen’s 100th Anniversary Open Camp Visits, where every week brings a century of adventure to life. This historic season features enhanced dining hall meals, special evening programs, and a signature “100 Fires” ceremony.
Campers and visitors will experience an unforgettable lineup of centennial activities:
Games & Challenges: Participate in exciting competitions, campwide scavenger hunts, a Centennial badge challenge, retro throwback days, and lively penny candy carnivals.
Hands-on Fun: Enjoy soda rockets and totem carving alongside appearances by legacy staff, guest speakers, and even the “Living Hermit.”
Special Events: Gather for a massive drone photo in a “100” formation, explore open program areas, and welcome Cub Scouts for a special Webelos afternoon.
100th Anniversary Extravaganza - July 24, 2027
Celebrate a century of impact at the Sequassen 100 Anniversary Extravaganza on July 24, 2027, from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This premier half-day celebration brings together tradition, community, and the future of Sequassen.
The event features a structured program honoring the camp’s rich legacy:
History & Legacy: Participate in the creation of a commemorative rock inscription, take a guided historical hike, and watch a powerful historical video capturing 100 years of camp history.
Formal Events: Hear remarks from local leaders, enjoy a silent auction and raffle, and the Sequassen Alumni Association will present the Distinguished Alumni Award.
Camp Traditions: Explore select program areas, gather for formal flags, and take part in a meaningful closing ceremony marking the end of Week 4 of Scouts BSA Resident Camp.
