Camp Sequassen’s Challenge Area provides high-adventure excitement with its climbing tower and COPE (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience) course. The COPE program includes both low and high elements that help Scouts improve communication, teamwork, and confidence. The climbing tower gives Scouts a chance to conquer their fear of heights while learning proper climbing and rappelling techniques. These experiences challenge Scouts physically and mentally, providing growth opportunities that go beyond traditional camp classes. It’s a must-visit for older Scouts seeking thrill and personal development.

The Ecology Area at Camp Sequassen helps Scouts explore the natural world around them. Located in a wooded and water-rich part of camp, it offers merit badges like Environmental Science, Nature, Weather, and Forestry. Fun activities like the Bug Wall and Eco Jeopardy make learning exciting and interactive. Scouts can also participate in conservation projects to help improve camp. Competitions are held throughout the week, giving Scouts a chance to show off their skills. This area is great for both beginners and experienced shooters, offering challenge and excitement for all skill levels.

Scoutcraft is the place where Scouting’s traditional outdoor skills come to life. Here, Scouts learn fire building, first aid, knots, map and compass use, and camping techniques. These skills are essential for rank advancement and are also taught through merit badges like Camping, Wilderness Survival, and Pioneering. Afternoon activities like firebuilding competitions and Scoutmaster cook-offs bring fun and teamwork into the learning. Whether a first-year camper or experienced Scout, everyone can learn something new at Scoutcraft.

Camp Sequassen’s Sports and Wellness Area keeps Scouts moving and energized. Clark Field hosts games like volleyball, frisbee, soccer, and spikeball throughout the day.
