Renting a cabin at Camp Sequassen is a great way to enjoy the outdoors while still having the comfort of indoor lodging. Units often book cabins for weekend camping trips, while families and small groups choose them for relaxing getaways or affordable overnight stays during local events. With options ranging from fully equipped buildings to rustic, back‑to‑basics spaces, Sequassen offers a cabin experience for every type of visitor.
Camp Sequassen provides a wide range of cabins designed for different group sizes and needs. Larger groups often choose Loomis, Cohen, or Friendship, which all include electricity and are available from September through May. Loomis is divided into left and right sides, each holding 24 people and equipped with heat. Friendship holds 33 people and offers plenty of space for unit activities. Cohen holds 24 and provides a comfortable option for mid‑sized groups. These cabins are ideal for troop weekends, training events, and multi‑unit gatherings.
Smaller groups may prefer Alling or Sargent, which hold 6 and 4 people, respectively. These cabins are perfect for families or adult groups looking for a quiet retreat. Their size makes them easy to heat and maintain, and they offer a more intimate camping experience.
Cabin amenities vary widely, giving visitors the flexibility to choose the level of comfort they want. Loomis offers the most complete setup with a full kitchen, refrigerator, bathroom, electricity, and heat. This makes it a great choice for winter camping or groups that want a more home‑like experience. Cohen and Friendship also include electricity and are well‑suited for groups that need reliable lighting and power.
More rustic options, such as the Hermit Shack, provide a simpler, back‑to‑nature experience. These cabins are ideal for groups that want to focus on outdoor skills or enjoy a minimalist weekend. All cabins except Loomis, Cohen, and Friendship are available from September through mid‑October and reopen in May before summer camp begins.
Some cabins offer unique locations that enhance the camping experience. Alling and Sargent sit directly on the water, giving guests beautiful views of West Hill Pond. These cabins are especially popular with families who want a peaceful setting or adults looking for a relaxing getaway.
For units that prefer staying within a campsite, Savino and Zimmermann each hold 16 people and are located in Trail and Jerome campsites, respectively. Savino is a great option for units that want a cabin experience while still feeling connected to traditional campsite life. Zimmermann must be booked together with Jerome campsite, making it ideal for larger unit activities or events that require both indoor and outdoor space.
Camp Sequassen’s Family Cabins 2–7 are newly renovated and designed specifically for families, not units. Each cabin fits four people and includes a kitchenette, electricity, refrigerator, stove, bathroom, and running water. Family Cabins 2 and 3 also include heat, making them excellent choices for cooler‑weather stays. These cabins are perfect for a weeklong vacation, a weekend escape, or a quiet retreat surrounded by nature.
