Every summer, Scouts from across the region return to Camp Sequassen for one reason: it’s where the magic happens. Nestled on the shores of West Hill Pond, the camp’s pristine lake, dense forests, and rich traditions create the perfect setting for outdoor adventure.
Scouts can choose from dozens of merit badges, from archery and swimming to environmental science, welding, and even space exploration. Want to climb a 35-foot tower? Shoot a bullseye at the range? Learn CPR? Explore the ecology of the woods? It’s all here.
The open program format in the afternoons means you’re not just stuck in class—you can go paddleboarding, ride the BMX trail, throw axes, or challenge yourself in a lumberjack Olympics. Campwide games like the Fire Hose Competition or Land & Sea Games bring out the best in team spirit. And each night ends with laughter, stories, and songs around the campfire.
For younger Scouts, the Wilderness Patrol Program builds confidence and skills while offering structured fun. For older Scouts, there’s the Older Scout Adventures, featuring high-adrenaline activities like ziplining, COPE challenges, and river tubing. No matter your age or experience, Camp Sequassen has something just right for you.
Sending a Scout to Camp Sequassen means giving them a safe, structured, and meaningful experience. Parents love that their children are not only enjoying nature but also learning responsibility, teamwork, and leadership in a supervised and supportive environment.

Scouts learn to manage their gear, follow a schedule, and take ownership of their own growth, and have fun the whole time.
You’ll notice the difference when they come home: more confident, more independent, and full of stories about what they accomplished.
One of the things that makes Camp Sequassen so special is that it’s always evolving. Every summer brings a fresh energy, new experiences, and opportunities for Scouts to try something they haven’t before. Whether it’s a newly offered merit badge, a creative twist on a favorite campwide game, or a surprise activity, summer camp never feels exactly the same from one year to the next.
Even long-time campers find surprises each year—new friends, new staff, new goals. Sequassen blends tradition with innovation, offering a balance of time-honored activities and exciting changes. It keeps the camp experience fresh while staying true to what makes it meaningful.
