Activity Highlights

Morning Activities

POLAR BEAR SWIM
Polar Bear Swim

The Polar Bear Swim kicks off the morning with a burst of energy as Scouts take a refreshing dip in the cool lake. Although it’s a challenge, the experience quickly builds resilience and confidence. As the sun rises, campers cheer each other on, creating a shared sense of accomplishment that lasts all week.

At the BB gun range, Scouts begin by learning essential safety skills before moving on to hands‑on practice. With guidance from trained instructors, they refine their aim and develop stronger focus. As their confidence grows, each successful shot becomes a moment worth celebrating with friends.

Scoutcraft introduces foundational outdoor skills that every young Scout can use. Through knot‑tying, fire building, and shelter basics, campers gain independence and problem‑solving abilities. Along the way, they work together, apply new knowledge, and discover how capable they can be in the outdoors.

Afternoon Activities

SWIMMING

Swimming sessions blend instruction with plenty of fun, giving Scouts time to practice strokes and enjoy the water. Under careful supervision, they build confidence and improve their abilities. Meanwhile, games and free‑swim periods add excitement, making the waterfront a favorite stop throughout the week.

Boating offers Scouts the chance to explore the lake while learning paddling techniques and water safety. Whether they’re navigating in canoes, rowboats, or kayaks, teamwork becomes essential. As they glide across the water, campers gain coordination, confidence, and a deeper appreciation for the natural setting.

Archery challenges Scouts to combine patience, focus, and proper form. After receiving instruction from certified staff, they step up to the line and test their skills. With each arrow released, campers see their improvement and enjoy the thrill of aiming for the center.

Evening Activities

OPENING CAMPFIRE

The Opening Campfire sets the tone for the entire camp experience. Scouts gather for songs, skits, cheers, and the excitement of beginning their adventure together. It’s a warm, welcoming tradition that builds community, sparks laughter, and creates lasting memories from the very first night.

Nature Games encourage Scouts to explore the outdoors through playful, interactive challenges. As they move through the forest, they learn about local wildlife and ecosystems. These activities promote teamwork and curiosity while giving campers plenty of opportunities to run, laugh, and connect with nature.

Blacklight Crafts bring creativity to life in a glowing, imaginative way. Using special paints and materials, Scouts design artwork that shines under blacklight. As they experiment with color and patterns, campers enjoy a fun, expressive activity and leave with a unique keepsake from camp.
